Hurricane Ian ravaged thru the U.S. prompting a massive response from NDMS and many other agencies, equating to the 5th-strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in the contiguous United States.
This responder coin is a reminder of the immense work done by the array of disaster responders that deployed to the region.
At 2" (50.8mm) brass with gold inlaid, this hi-relief map with translucent epoxy paint had a 3d effect as you look through to the ocean floor and the effect the storm had upon it as well.
